Job summary

The Treehouse Forestry Nursery and Out of School Club is seeking a Preschool Manager to lead daily operations, supervise staff and ensure high-quality childcare in line with Ofsted standards.

Role includes safeguarding duties, budget oversight and alignment with the company ethos. Working 5 days a week, 9:00am–4:00pm, term-time only with salary averaged over the year.

Qualifications

  • Deputy Manager or Senior in childcare: 1 year (required).
  • Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years (required).

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Preschool and staff to provide high quality childcare adhering to all policy and procedures.
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations within the Preschool, by meeting financial targets and managing the Preschool budget.
  • Ensure the Preschool works towards the company ethos, visions and goals.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene; ensure Ofsted requirements are met.

Job description

We are looking for a passionate Preschool Manager who will be able to create environments for high quality learning and development! Are you someone who can advocate for our youngest children and provide a safe, nurturing and consistent experience for our babies?

The Preschool Manager will be overseen by an experienced and dedicated senior management team and you will be an integral part of the smooth running of the Preschool

Working 5 days a week 9.00am to 4.00pm Term Time Only (salary averaged over the whole year)

  • To be responsible for the management of day -to-day financial operations within the Preschool, by meeting financial targets and managing the Preschool budget.
  • Gaining a clear understanding of policies and procedures, statutory welfare requirements, and Ofsted expectations and requirements and ensuring these are maintained at all times.
  • Being Designated Safeguarding Lead for the Preschool (training provided)
  • Ensure the Preschool works towards the company ethos, visions and goals.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the Preschool.
  • Ensuring that the Preschool conforms to and exceeds the requirements of Ofsted.
  • Upholding and ensuring a high standard of care and education throughout the Preschool.
  • Implementing and maintaining the company’s Equality policy ensuring that children, parents, and the staff team are valued and practice is positive and non-discriminatory.
  • Monitoring any safeguarding issues following local authority procedures
