Job Summary

This pre-sales role involves working with Gluware and our clients to address enterprise networking automation challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience in pre-sales, programming, and networking, and enjoy working with new technologies in a fast-paced environment. Daily interactions will be with customer network engineering and operations teams. The role reports to the Vice President of Pre-sales and Service Delivery. Sales experience is essential; this is not a software development role. The position is part of the sales team, with additional sales commissions, targeting an OTE of $240,000 annually. Multiple openings are available for remote work with travel to customer sites in Washington DC and Raleigh Durham.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Support the sales team to achieve technical wins in complex network automation projects.
  • Design solutions to customer challenges using the Gluware platform, integrated with third-party solutions like ITSM, CMDB, IPAM, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Perform product demonstrations and drive proof of concept engagements.
  • Deliver tailored technical sales presentations and automate solutions for prospects and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with engineering, service delivery, sales, and support teams to ensure excellent customer experience.
  • Work with peers to solve unique customer challenges and stay informed about market trends in networking, cloud, and related technologies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on automation for customers.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience with enterprise network architectures, including cloud, data centers, SD-WAN, and related technologies.
  • Minimum 3 years of customer-facing pre-sales experience.
  • Proficiency in CLI configurations, regex, and scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools like Ansible and Terraform.
  • Experience with data modeling using JSON, YANG, YAML, or XML.
  • Hands-on experience with REST API integrations and Linux administration.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization/container solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Results-oriented problem solver, eager to work in a growth-stage company.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, information systems, engineering, or equivalent.
Travel
  • Up to 30% travel required.
