Job Summary

This pre-sales position is responsible for working with Gluware and our customers to solve enterprise networking automation challenges. The ideal candidate has pre-sales, programming, and network expertise and enjoys working with new technology in a fast-paced company to solve customer automation challenges. You will interface with customer network engineering and operations teams daily. The position reports to the Vice President of Pre-sales and Service Delivery.

Sales experience is essential; this is not a software development role.

This role is part of the Gluware sales team, with sales commission paid in addition to the base salary. On Target Earnings are $240,000 per year.

We have multiple openings for this remote position, with travel required to visit potential customers. We are seeking candidates in Washington DC and Raleigh Durham.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  1. Support the Gluware Sales team to gain the technical win in complex network automation sales campaigns.
  2. Design solutions to customer challenges utilizing the Gluware platform integrated with third-party solutions such as ITSM, CMDB, IPAM, and CI/CD pipelines.
  3. Perform product demonstrations for Gluware customers and partners.
  4. Drive effective proof of concept (PoC) engagements with Gluware prospects.
  5. Deliver custom automations to PoC prospects and existing customers.
  6. Create and deliver targeted technical sales presentations.
  7. Collaborate with Gluware Engineering, Service Delivery, Sales, and Support teams to promote excellent customer experience.
  8. Work with Gluware Solutions Architect peers to solve unique customer challenges.
  9. Maintain awareness of market trends in network, cloud, and competitive technologies.
  10. Act as a trusted automation advisor to customers.
Requirements
  1. 5+ years of experience with enterprise network architectures, products, and configurations, including cloud, data center, SD-WAN, and related technologies.
  2. 3+ years of customer-facing pre-sales experience.
  3. Expertise in CLI configurations, regular expressions, and scripting in JavaScript or Python.
  4. Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  5. Experience in data modeling using JSON, YANG, YAML, or XML.
  6. Hands-on experience with REST API integrations.
  7. Familiarity with Linux administration.
  8. Knowledge of public and hybrid cloud platforms like AWS, MS Azure, and GCP.
  9. Understanding of virtualization and container solutions.
  10. Strong communication and presentation skills.
  11. Results-driven and problem solver, eager to work in a growth-stage company.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in computer programming, information systems, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Travel
  • Up to 30% travel required.
