Job Summary

This pre-sales role involves working with Gluware and our clients to address enterprise networking automation challenges. The ideal candidate has pre-sales experience, programming skills, and a passion for technology. You will interact daily with customer network engineering and operations teams. Reporting to the Vice President of Pre-sales and Service Delivery, this role requires sales experience and is not software development-focused.

This position is remote with travel to customer sites and is open in New York, Boston, or Philadelphia. The role includes sales commissions, with an On Target Earnings of $240,000 annually.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Support sales efforts to achieve technical wins in network automation
  • Design solutions using Gluware and third-party integrations (ITSM, CMDB, IPAM, CI/CD)
  • Conduct product demos and proof of concept engagements
  • Create and deliver technical sales presentations
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure excellent customer experience
  • Stay informed on market and technological trends
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers

Requirements

  • 5+ years in enterprise network architecture and technologies (cloud, data center, SD-WAN)
  • 3+ years of presales customer-facing experience
  • Proficiency in CLI, scripting (JavaScript, Python), and data modeling (JSON, YANG, YAML, XML)
  • Experience with REST API, Linux, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), virtualization, and containers
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Results-oriented problem solver

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, information systems, engineering, or equivalent

Work Experience & Travel

  • Up to 30% travel expected
