Job Summary

This pre-sales position involves working closely with Gluware and our customers to address enterprise networking automation challenges. The ideal candidate has experience in pre-sales, programming, and networking, and enjoys working with new technology in a fast-paced environment to solve customer automation issues. You will regularly interact with customer network engineering and operations teams. The role reports to the Vice President of Pre-sales and Service Delivery.

Note: Sales experience is essential; this is not a software development role.

This position is part of the Gluware sales team, with sales commissions supplementing the base salary. The On Target Earnings (OTE) are $240,000 annually.

We have multiple openings for this remote role, with travel required to visit potential customers. Candidates in Denver, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Kansas City, or Los Angeles are preferred.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Support the sales team to secure technical wins in complex network automation sales campaigns.
  • Design solutions to customer challenges using the Gluware platform integrated with third-party solutions like ITSM, CMDB, IPAM, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Perform product demonstrations for customers and partners.
  • Lead proof of concept (PoC) engagements with prospects.
  • Deliver custom automation solutions to PoC prospects and existing customers.
  • Create and deliver targeted technical sales presentations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, service delivery, sales, and support teams to ensure excellent customer experience.
  • Work with solutions architects to resolve unique customer challenges.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends in networking, cloud, and competing technologies.
  • Act as a trusted automation advisor to customers.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience with enterprise network architectures, products, and configurations, including cloud, data center, SD-WAN, and other network technologies.
  • Minimum of 3 years of customer-facing pre-sales experience.
  • Proficiency in CLI configurations, regular expressions, and scripting in JavaScript or Python.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Experience in data modeling using JSON, YANG, YAML, or XML.
  • Hands-on experience with REST API integrations.
  • Knowledge of Linux administration.
  • Understanding of public and hybrid cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Familiarity with virtualization and container solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Results-oriented problem solver eager to work in a growth-stage company.

Travel
  • Up to 30% travel required.
