Pre-Sales Engineer – Cloud Data Warehouse, Data Engineering & AI - US Based - Remote

Job Overview:

We seek a skilled Sales Engineer with expertise in cloud data warehousing, data engineering, and AI/ML to collaborate with our sales team. You will present tailored solutions leveraging platforms like Databricks and Snowflake, bridging business needs with technical solutions to help customers solve complex data challenges and maximize AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand customer requirements and design scalable cloud data architectures using Databricks, Snowflake, and other platforms.
  • Present product demos, Proof of Concepts, and architectural walkthroughs.
  • Develop technical presentations and conduct workshops on data engineering, cloud architecture, and AI analytics.
  • Assist with RFP/RFI responses, aligning solutions with customer goals.
  • Lead data strategy workshops and build project scopes.
  • Understand customer data workflows, pipelines, and integration needs.
  • Advise on data pipeline design, automation, and AI/ML integration for real-time or batch processing.
  • Guide clients on AI/ML use cases and integration into data architectures.
  • Build ongoing customer relationships and ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to stay updated on new features and roadmaps.
  • Train sales teams on latest data and AI technologies.

Technical Enablement & Best Practices:

  • Create and maintain technical documentation and collateral.
  • Contribute to best practices, white papers, and case studies.
  • Lead internal training sessions and webinars on AI-driven data solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud data platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, or similar solutions.
  • Knowledge of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and big data processing frameworks.
  • Experience with AI/ML model development and deployment.
  • Familiarity with data integration, real-time processing, and analytics pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Ability to engage with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Background in sales engineering or technical support in data, cloud, or AI/ML domains.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to articulate business value.

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in cloud data architecture, data engineering, AI/ML, or sales engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, and AI tools (TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Bonus Skills:

  • Certifications in relevant technologies.
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
  • Agile and DevOps experience.
  • Supply chain experience is a plus.
