AlphaGraphics Uptown Houston is seeking a Pre-Press Specialist with strong Graphic Design skills to join our team. This hands-on role focuses on reviewing, correcting, and preparing customer files for production while supporting design and print projects.

Responsibilities

• Review and preflight customer artwork for print production.
• Prepare and correct files for digital and large-format printing.
• Check dimensions, bleeds, resolution, color, fonts, and file setup.
• Create and modify artwork to meet production requirements.
• Work with Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and PitStop Pro.
• Communicate with production and sales to resolve artwork issues.
• Assist with digital printing and finishing as needed.
• Ensure finished jobs meet job ticket specifications.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy.

The Position

AlphaGraphics Uptown Houston is looking for a Pre-Press Specialist with strong Graphic Design skills to join our team.

This is a hands‑on position for someone who understands that good print production starts with properly prepared artwork. You'll be responsible for reviewing, correcting, and preparing customer files for production, while also assisting with design and print‑related projects.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to the details, and is interested in building a long-term career with our team.

Responsibilities

• Review and preflight customer artwork for print production.
• Prepare and correct files for digital and large-format printing.
• Check dimensions, bleeds, resolution, color, fonts, and overall file setup.
• Create and modify artwork as needed to meet production requirements.
• Work primarily in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and PitStop Pro.
• Communicate with production and sales teams to resolve artwork and job issues.
• Assist with digital printing and finishing as needed.
• Help ensure finished jobs meet the specifications on the job ticket.
• Manage multiple jobs and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and organization.

What We’re Looking For

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
• Solid understanding of graphic design and print production.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to catch errors before production.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline‑driven environment.
• Previous prepress, print production, or graphic design experience preferred.
• Experience with digital presses, large‑format printing, or finishing equipment is a plus.
• Portfolio or examples of work are encouraged.

We are open to candidates ranging from newer designers with solid technical skills to experienced print‑production professionals. The right candidate will have strong fundamentals, a good work ethic, and a desire to become a dependable long‑term member of our team.

Schedule & Compensation

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Full-Time | Approximately 40 hours/week

Competitive pay based on experience and skill level
