Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT seeks an experienced Registered Nurse in the Pre & Post Surgery Unit. You will deliver patient care to support the Main PACU, OR, and Ambulatory Surgery suites, preparing patients for surgery and providing education.

This full-time day shift role requires an associate degree in nursing and CT RN license; two+ years of medical-surgical inpatient experience, with telemetry or step-down experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• Two or more years of medical-surgical nursing experience in an Inpatient Acute Setting preferred; telemetry or step-down experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care in a fast-paced unit focused on pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery.
• Educate patients, follow universal protocols, and ensure safe discharge with proper instructions.
