Job summary

Omega Hospitality in Metairie, LA is seeking an experienced RN to join the surgical services team, focusing on pre-operative and PACU care. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to prepare patients for procedures and support recovery.

You will monitor vital signs, manage pain, administer medications, and document assessments in the electronic health record, while maintaining infection control and patient safety on a 12-hour night shift.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact state.
• Minimum ADN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification or must obtain within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Operative Care: conduct assessments, document consent, educate patient and family, and coordinate with OR staff.
• Post-Operative Care: monitor patients post-anesthesia, manage pain, administer medications, and document in EHR.
• General Responsibilities: ensure safety, infection control, participate in hand-offs and meetings, mentor staff.
