Job summary

East Memphis Surgery Center in Memphis, TN is seeking a Pre-Operative Registered Nurse (PRN) to assist in delivering nursing care for pre-operative patients in an ambulatory setting. You will function under the supervisor of Clinical Services and follow physician orders and center policies.

The role requires an RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and the ability to assess and respond quickly in a pre-op environment. The center emphasizes patient safety, documentation accuracy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse License.
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, develops and implements total nursing care for the pre-operative patient.
• Records and reports symptoms, reactions, abnormalities and changes in patient condition to the appropriate team.
• Administers medications and treatments ordered by the physician.
• Care and discharge pre-operative patients according to facility policies.
