Job summary

Southern Indiana ENT seeks a compassionate Pre-operative Registered Nurse to support patients before and after surgery at our Columbus and Greenwood practices. You will perform chart reviews, intake, IV placement, and nurse-led care coordination with physicians and staff.

The role emphasizes adherence to HIPAA, infection-control policies, and timely communications with patients, families, and the surgical team. Full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years related experience required.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with PC-based software.

Responsibilities

• Chart review and breakdown; patient meets criteria.
• Patient intake day of procedure, vital signs, IV placement.
• Review discharge instructions and discharge patient when ready.
• Narcotic count and post-op calls to patients.
• Be a resource for surgical patients and coordinate orders.
• Maintain HIPAA/privacy and infection-control policies.
• Coordinate supplies and equipment and maintain compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
