Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care is seeking a Clinical Nurse to coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting. Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director, you will administer care, document plans, and collaborate with the care team.

This on-site, full-time role supports 36 hours weekly with variable schedule at PARDEEHOSP, requiring NC RN licensure and BLS/PALS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina or a compact state by the day of clinical care.
• BLS, PALS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Preferred: one (1) year of experience in an acute care/inpatient hospital RN role.

Responsibilities

• Administers patient care under the direction of a physician and collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Reports and records the plan for care, nursing care given, and the patient’s response to that care.
• Provides competent clinical nursing care aligned with policies and standards.
• Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient/family needs and discharges planning as appropriate.
• Collaborates with peers in a clinical operations environment to foster communication.
• Synthesizes data from complex situations to determine care priorities and discharge needs.
• Communicates with patient/family to update the plan of care with cultural competency and active listening.
• Promotes clinical and operational excellence through education and training.
