Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse in Riverview, Florida to educate patients on procedures and tests and coordinate patient flow within the department.

The role requires an RN license, 1+ year of clinical nursing experience, and BLS/ACLS certification with PALS preferred. Day shift, full-time hours, and a strong emphasis on privacy and teamwork are provided.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• 1+ years of clinical nursing experience required.
• RN licensure required; BLS/ACLS required; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients regarding procedures and tests, and other hospital policies.
• Conducts patient care activities with respect for privacy and confidentiality.
• Identifies and responds to life-threatening situations appropriately.
• Assists in the organization and coordination of patients to promote efficient flow within the department.
• Collaborates with staff as a team player to ensure quality patient care.
• Addresses ethical issues in patient care, such as Living Wills and Durable Power of Attorney.
• Uses appropriate forms with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Responds promptly and effectively to patient and guest needs.
• Receives and places reports in patient charts to prevent delays and complications.
• Informs physicians of abnormal results as soon as possible.
• Notifies appropriate team when patients are available for pre-op interviewing.
• Performs EKGs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
