A leading healthcare provider in Huntsville is seeking a Pre-Op/PACU RN to deliver exceptional patient care in a surgical environment. Under general supervision of the Administrator, the Pre-Op/PACU RN uses the nursing process, collaborates with the physician and healthcare team in the delivery of care to patients who are preparing for, have had a surgical or other invasive procedure in the ASC. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient populations served, as well as the principles of growth and development as it relates to the different life cycles.

Participates in interdisciplinary team care and service delivery, interacting mainly with hospital staff, medical staff, patients, and visitors.
Education: Graduate of a school of professional nursing.
Experience: None required; however, one year of PACU or critical care nursing experience is preferred.
License/Certification: Current Texas RN licensure required. BLS certification required within 30 days; ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching; occasional sitting, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting. Visual and hearing acuity required; color vision needed for skin and medication color changes. Work mainly indoors with good ventilation. Reliable transportation needed for on-call duties. Possible exposure to chemicals, moving parts, electric shock, radiant energy, and infectious diseases.
