North Texas Surgery Center is looking for a top-performer RN for our PRN position, with solid knowledge of Pre-operative and PACU Nursing. This environment is fast-paced and driven to reach the highest quality and satisfaction outcomes in Texas.

The ideal candidate will ensure the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care. The RN cares for patients of all ages from 1 month to geriatric. Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Perioperative Services, the RN is responsible for implementing physician orders, providing continuity and quality of nursing care, continually evaluating patient condition, and ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy. The candidate should focus on excellent customer service, be able to multitask, show flexibility, maintain infection control standards, uphold professional competencies, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team. The position requires weekdays only—no holidays, weekends, or call, with some later evenings.

Required Skills:

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • At least 1 year of experience as an RN in a hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU unit.
  • Active RN license in the state.
  • BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS/PALS preferred or included in education plan.
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Required Experience:

  • Experience working in an ASC is a plus.
  • Must be team-oriented and patient-focused.
