Job summary

Marion Surgery Center is hiring a Pre-Op PACU RN, PRN, responsible for providing quality care to patients post-anesthesia. PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Marion Surgery Center
The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Provides comprehensive care to patients emerging from anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state
  • BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS certification if required by the center
  • 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
