Job summary

Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Pre-Op/PACU. You will care for patients in the pre- and post-anesthesia areas, perform nursing assessments, monitor vitals, insert IVs, and administer medications in a Magnet-designated environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN license required.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate discharge needs.
• Educate patients and family with materials considering cultural concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per protocol.
