Job summary

Bass Surgery Center in Walnut Creek, CA seeks a RN Pre-op/PACU PRN to deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care. The RN will apply the nursing process, follow the medical plan of care, and support patient-family centered care in our fast-paced ASC environment.

Requires CA Nursing License with BLS, ACLS and PALS; minimum 2 years in Pre-op/PACU; ambulatory setting experience preferred; strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current CA Nursing License.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU; ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation.
• Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics.
• Excellent teaching skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrate accountability and teamwork.

Pre-Op/PACU RN PRN in Walnut Creek, CA.

Bass Surgery Center is a fast- paced multi -specialty ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. The RN Pre-op/PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN Pre-op/PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN Pre-op/PACU reports to the Manager of Peri-Operative Services.

Hourly Wage Range: $59 to $74 per hour

Required Skills:

Education, Training And Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current CA Nursing License
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU. Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
