Job summary

TLC Outpatient Surgery & Laser Center in the United States is seeking a Pre Op PACU RN (PRN) to join its ambulatory perioperative team. The PACU RN provides continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia, monitoring recovery and readiness for discharge.

Qualified candidates hold an active RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and have PACU or critical care experience. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to use nursing judgment to prioritize care.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy; monitor progress and recovery.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks and sterile techniques as needed.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family for discharge readiness.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at TLC Outpatient Surgery & Laser Center

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
