Job summary

LAW Outpatient Surgery Center in Hattiesburg, MS is seeking a Peri-Anesthesia Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN shifts. You will assess and manage care for patients undergoing surgical procedures, with emphasis on peri-anesthesia responsibilities and post-op follow-up.

Required RN graduation certificate, ACLS/PALS/BLS, and Moderate Sedation certification. Prior peri-anesthesia or critical care experience is preferred. Strong communication and strict adherence to workflows are essential.

Qualifications

• The nurse must have graduation certificate from an accredited RN program and required certifications.
• Experience in peri-anesthesia or critical care is preferred.
• Must hold Moderate Sedation certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for peri-anesthesia patients.
• Provide continuous patient surveillance and timely administration of physician orders.
• Prepare patients for procedures and educate patients and families on post-op instructions.
• Call patients on first working post-op day to check progress.
