Orthopaedic Specialists of North Carolina is seeking a full-time, experienced Pre-Op/PACU Nurse to become part of our team at our Surgery Center, OrthoNC ASC.

The Pre-Op/PACU Nurse will be responsible for the safety and care of the patient while in the pre-operative and post-operative area.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Individual patient assessment
  • Pre-op prep including IV and medication administration
  • Assisting an anesthesiologist with regional blocks
  • Post-anesthesia care of the patient
  • Working in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintaining required annual educational competencies required by the center
  • Thorough documentation
  • Following all policies/procedures at OrthoNC ASC
  • Attending all educational in-services and staff meetings
  • Participating in councils/committees as needed at the center
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique
  • Basic computer skills
  • Becoming familiar with specialized equipment used in the preoperative and post-operative areas at the center

OrthoNC Ambulatory Surgery Center is a newly constructed ASC with 1 Operating Room and 1 Procedure Room. Surgical procedures at the center will focus primarily on Orthopedics, Spine, Podiatry, and Pain Management.
