The Pre-Op/PACU Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit departments within the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This role ensures the delivery of safe, efficient, high-quality patient care across the perioperative continuum—from patient admission through discharge, in compliance with CMS Conditions for Coverage and applicable accrediting bodies, including AAAHC.
The Pre-Op/PACU Manager oversees all clinical staff within the Pre-Op and PACU areas and collaborates closely with the DON and departmental leaders to optimize patient throughput, surgical readiness, anesthesia recovery, and discharge efficiency. Serving as the primary point of coordination among surgeons, anesthesia providers, clinical teams, and administrative leadership, this position ensures effective communication, operational alignment, and seamless transitions of care.
