Job summary

OU Health is seeking an experienced RN for Outpatient Surgery Pre-op in OKC. The role supports adult outpatient surgery, with multiple RN levels (I-III) based on experience. Shift is full-time in a pre-op/outpatient setting, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesiology to ensure safe patient care.

Qualifications

• RN license in Oklahoma or multistate compact (eNLC)
• Basic Life Support (AHA) certification required on hire
• Education: ADN or BSN; RN III requires BSN and 5+ years of experience
• Specialty certifications preferred for RN II/III

Responsibilities

• Align behaviors with OU Health values and nursing practice standards.
• Assume responsibility for an assigned patient or group.
• Document patient responses and changes in physician orders.
• Assist physicians in examination and minor procedures.
• Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products.
• Deliver safe, competent patient care and address complaints.
• Communicate care plans to patient and family at discharge.
