Job summary

SCA Health, part of Optum, is seeking an LVN to join its ambulatory surgery team in New Hampshire. You will obtain, organize, and coordinate each patient’s preoperative documentation and diagnostic testing prior to surgery, and you’ll correlate clinical data with patient care to ensure readiness.

Responsibilities include setting priorities, communicating clearly with patients and the care team, screening patients for ambulatory surgery and assisting in Pre-Op and PACU as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year’s LVN experience in a clinical setting.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, organize, assess, and coordinate each patient’s preoperative documentation and diagnostic testing prior to surgery.
• Correlate clinical data with patient’s medical and nursing care.
• Set priorities.
• Possess attention to detail with the ability to problem-solve patient issues when they arise.
• Communicate well and clearly with patients, families, members of the healthcare team, physicians, physician offices and nurse managers.
• Recognize legal and policy limits of individual practice.
• Screens each patient prior to surgery as acceptable candidates for ambulatory surgery.
• Works closely with physicians, physician offices, nurse managers, and patients to ensure the patient is prepared for admission on the day of surgery.
• Assist in Pre‑Op and PACU as needed.
• Responsible for the achievement of patient outcomes through implementation of critical pathways and in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the facility.
