Job summary

Herrman & Herrman, PLLC seeks a Pre-Litigation Attorney in Texas with 1–2 years of litigation experience to advance cases and deliver excellent client service. The role emphasizes independent case management, strong negotiation and trial readiness, and support across multiple Texas offices including Corpus Christi, San Antonio, and Dallas.

The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice in Texas, a graduate of an accredited law school, and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice in Texas and a member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas.
• Graduated from an accredited law school.
• 1–2 years of litigation experience preferred; ability to litigate and take cases to trial when needed.
• Strong writing, verbal, and analytical skills; capable of managing cases independently.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and develop assigned cases.
• Advance pending claims and manage sign-ups.
• Explain attorney–client contract and terms of engagement.
• Sign up cases and cover rotational schedule across offices.
• Handle after-hours calls and secure new client sign-ups via in-person visits or DocuSign.
• Prepare status letters and update clients on case progress.
• Meet with clients as needed and respond to inquiries by end of business day.
• Maximize case values and attorney fees recovered.

Job description

Pre-Litigation Attorney:

We seek a Pre-Litigation Attorney with 1-2 years of litigation experience to join our growing firm in South Texas (Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Brownsville, McAllen, Houston, Austin, Fort Worth, Dallas). A qualified associate must possess the ability to provide legal representation to advocate for our clients while delivering outstanding client service skills.

Qualifications:

The candidate must be licensed to practice in Texas, have graduated from an accredited law school, and be a member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas.

The ideal candidate must communicate effectively and possess excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills. The candidate must be self-motivated with strong negotiating skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Although the candidate will receive support and assistance, they must have the knowledge and experience to manage and move pending cases forward independently. The candidate will also be expected to litigate claims and take them to trial when necessary. They preferably have one to two years of personal injury experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Investigate and develop all assigned cases
• Ascertain relevant facts and discuss all aspects of PNC’s claims
• Secure authorization to sign up, decline or further evaluate claim
• Explain attorney- client contract
• Sign up cases in and out of the office while covering rotational schedule
• After hours PNC calls and secure new client sign ups in office, in person, out of office and/ or via DocuSign (electronic signature option) in those matters where PNC resides a distance from one of our offices.
• Status Letters: To update case status
• Client meetings if needed
• Address/return all client calls by end of business day
• Maximizing case values and attorney fees recovered
