Job summary

Herrman & Herrman, PLLC is seeking a Pre-Litigation Attorney with 1-2 years of litigation experience to join our Texas-based firm. The role requires Texas licensure, admission to the State Bar, and the ability to advance cases independently while delivering strong client service.

The successful candidate will handle investigations, sign-ups, negotiations, and, when needed, litigation through trial. A focus on personal injury work is preferred, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills; strong negotiation abilities.
• Capable of managing and moving pending cases forward independently, with the ability to litigate when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and develop all assigned cases.
• Ascertain relevant facts and discuss all aspects of PNC’s claims.
• Secure authorization to sign up, decline or further evaluate claims.
• Explain attorney-client contract.
• Sign up cases in and out of the office while covering rotational schedule.
• Handle after-hours PNC calls and secure new client sign ups via in-person, remote, or DocuSign.

Pre-Litigation Attorney:

We seek a Pre-Litigation Attorney with 1-2 years of litigation experience to join our growing firm in South Texas (Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Brownsville, McAllen, Houston, Austin, Fort Worth, Dallas). A qualified associate must possess the ability to provide legal representation to advocate for our clients while delivering outstanding client service skills.

Qualifications:

The candidate must be licensed to practice in Texas, have graduated from an accredited law school, and be a member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas.

The ideal candidate must communicate effectively and possess excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills. The candidate must be self-motivated with strong negotiating skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Although the candidate will receive support and assistance, they must have the knowledge and experience to manage and move pending cases forward independently. The candidate will also be expected to litigate claims and take them to trial when necessary. They preferably have one to two years of personal injury experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Explain attorney- client contract
• Sign up cases in and out of the office while covering rotational schedule
• After hours PNC calls and secure new client sign ups in office, in person, out of office and/ or via DocuSign (electronic signature option) in those matters where PNC resides a distance from one of our offices.
• Status Letters: To update case status
• Client meetings if needed
• Address/return all client calls by end of business day
• Maximizing case values and attorney fees recovered
