Job description

Paddington Station Preschool is seeking a Pre-k4 Maternity Leave Co-Lead Teacher from December 9, 2024 through May 30, 2025. As a Co-Lead teacher, the maternity leave substitute would work alongside another Paddington Teacher. This position might be right for you if you love working in a fun, supportive, and play-based environment alongside other like-minded educators who value community and partnering with families. Hours: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM Monday through Friday.

Requirements:

  1. BA in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or related field
  2. Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualification through PDIS (minimum level 2 required)

Qualifications:

  1. Paddington seeks an educator who possesses a deep understanding of child development and progressive pedagogy, is collaborative and communicative, and embraces play-based learning.
  2. The educator should have experience implementing play-based learning, understand developmentally appropriate practice, and value social emotional learning.
  3. The ability to partner with all parents using an inclusive and supportive lens.
  4. Possess joy, a growth mindset, and a sense of humor with a commitment to working collaboratively.
  5. Experience in early childhood education.
  6. Proven success working collaboratively.
  7. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  8. Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
  9. Proficient with email communication and the use of app-based platforms like ProCare or Brightwheel.

Salary: Annual salary with a Bachelor’s Degree is $42,000 and will be prorated for the period worked. Health, vision, dental, and paid sick leave are included.

Responsibilities:

  1. The Maternity Leave teacher is responsible for lesson planning, family communication, preparing for and participating in end of the year Family Conferences, implementing curriculum, and partnering with families.
