Job summary

Grade Potential Tutoring in Gilbert, AZ is seeking an in-person tutor to support a 4.5-year-old autistic student with kindergarten readiness goals. Sessions are 1 hour weekly at the family home, Monday through Friday 6:00 pm–8:00 pm.

You’ll use your own materials and teaching methods to help with pencil grip, letter tracing, colors, shapes and numbers. Applicants should have experience teaching young children and working with autistic individuals, be willing to travel within the local radius,

Qualifications

• Experience teaching/tutoring young children.
• Experience with autistic individuals.
• Willingness to travel within your preferred local radius (typically 5–10 miles).
• Must not be a minor due to insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person tutoring sessions at the family home in Gilbert, AZ.
• Support 4.5-year-old student with Kindergarten readiness skills (pencil grip, tracing letters, colors, shapes, numbers).
• Tailor lessons to the student’s needs and progress; use your own materials and methods.
• Coordinate session times with the family’s availability (weekly, 1 hour).

About the student

• 4.5-year-old autistic student who attends a full-time ABA program, seeking additional academic support.
  
• The student's goal is to develop foundational Kindergarten readiness skills, including proper pencil grip, tracing letters, and identifying colors, shapes, and numbers.
• The family is seeking 1-hour sessions once per week during their availability: Monday - Friday from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
  
• The student is seeking a tutor who can meet for in-person sessions at his family's home in Gilbert.

Requirements

• You have experience teaching/tutoring young children.
  
• You have experience with autistic individuals.
• You are willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles).
