Zeta Charter Schools in New York City seeks a Pre-K Head Teacher to build lifelong learners within a joyful, nurturing classroom. Candidates must hold NYS Early Childhood Education certification (Birth–Grade 2) and have at least 1 year of lead teaching experience.

You bring:

• A valid initial or professional New York State teaching certification or license in Early Childhood Education (Birth–Grade 2)
• At least 1 year of lead classroom teaching experience, ideally in Pre-K or early childhood education, with a demonstrated record of driving strong student growth
• Strong instructional skills and knowledge of early childhood development, including foundational literacy and mathematics
• A commitment to maintaining high academic and behavioral expectations while building a joyful, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom community
• A growth mindset and strong sense of ownership, with the ability to respond to feedback and do what it takes to help every student succeed

• Plan inquiry-based, rigorous lessons that focus on exploration and play.
• Build a classroom culture that fosters students’ genuine love for learning and creates a sense of community for our families.
• Master Zeta’s Pre-K academic content and social-emotional curriculum.
• Use data-driven approach and teaching resources to drive student achievement.
• Develop authentic, meaningful relationships with students and families to support students’ personal and academic growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in weekly professional development opportunities with leaders and colleagues to benefit from feedback that will help you grow as an educator.
