Zeta Charter Schools in New York City is seeking an Elementary School Head Teacher to join our on-site team serving the Bronx, Upper Manhattan, or Queens. The start date is July 2027 or sooner, with a salary range of $71,500–$115,500 and reports to the Assistant Principal.

You will plan inquiry-driven, rigorous lessons; build an inclusive classroom culture; master Zeta’s curriculum; drive strong student growth toward 90%+ on/above grade level in ELA and Math; use data to inform instruction; and

• At least 1 year of lead classroom teaching experience, with a demonstrated record of driving strong student outcomes.
• A deep understanding of effective instruction and a commitment to using student data to inform teaching, address learning gaps, and accelerate student growth.
• A genuine love for children and an unwavering belief in every student's ability to achieve at the highest levels.
• A commitment to maintaining high academic and behavioral expectations while building a joyful, engaging classroom community.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to foster authentic, trusting partnerships with students, families, and colleagues.
• A growth mindset and strong sense of ownership, with the ability to respond to feedback and do what it takes to help every student succeed.
• Preferred but not required: a valid New York State teaching certification or license.

• Utilize data, student work, and research-based resources to drive student achievement and continuously refine teaching practice.
• Develop strong, authentic relationships with students and families to support each child’s academic growth and personal development.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and engage in weekly professional learning, embracing coaching and feedback as you grow into a highly effective educator.
