Responsibilities

• Plans and implements a program of instruction aligned to adopted courses.
• Develops purposeful lesson plans and maximizes time on task.
• Presents subject matter and uses real-world examples to maximize learning.
• Maintains accurate student records and monitors progress.
• Communicates with parents/guardians about student progress.
• Contributes to curriculum planning and materials selection.
• Coordinates class field trips and prepares students for state assessments.
• Maintains a classroom environment conducive to learning and safety.
