Ideal candidates will have a BS/BA in ECE/CD with BK licensure and 2+ years of early childhood experience; bilingual Spanish is preferred. The role emphasizes family engagement, collaboration with staff and adherence to ethics and professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS/BA in ECE/CD with BK licensure; 2 years experience preferred.
• BS/BA with BK-licensure pursued within three years considered.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, children, parents, and volunteers.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise others, including assistant teachers, parents, students, and volunteers.
• Demonstrated ability to perform duties with verbal, auditory, and physical requirements and accommodations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct the operation of programs for a group of children.
• Organize space, materials and routines to create a safe, engaging environment.
• Develop and implement an integrated program of activities supporting growth.
• Use community resources to enrich classroom experiences.
• Maintain effective child-adult interactions and resolve conflicts.
• Communicate program activities to parents on a regular basis and conduct conferences as needed.
• Recruit volunteers and participate in program-wide recruitment.
• Supervise and evaluate classroom assistants and volunteers.
• Ensure compliance with policies and required reports.
