Job summary

Jovie in Arlington, Virginia is seeking a dedicated Kindergarten Prep Teacher to work with children in our center. You will guide a teaching team to develop classroom plans and lead hands-on activities based on children's interests, while communicating with parents about milestones.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDA or higher level of education required for Lead teacher positions.
• Must meet Virginia licensing requirements for daycare staff or willing to obtain these.
• Six months of child care experience required.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices or willingness to obtain.

Requirements:

Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required
• CDA or higher level of education required for only Lead teacher positions
• Must meet Virginia licensing requirements for daycare staff or willing to obtain these
• At least six months of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool required
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) required or willing to obtain
