Qualifications

• Associate degree or 48 college hours or ParaPro Praxis with high school diploma/equivalency.
• Prior experience working with children is desirable.
• Must meet paraeducator training requirements and sign language coursework if assigned to hearing-impaired class.

Responsibilities

• Works with individual or small groups of students to reinforce skills and concepts.
• Assists with instructional and non-instructional tasks under teacher supervision.
• Organizes classroom activities and prepares materials for varied learning needs.
• Supports students with physical and medical needs after proper training and follows school policies.

Education

Associate Degree

Forty-eight (48) hours of approved college courses

Pass ParaPro Praxis and high school diploma/equivalency
