Job summary

SWINT ELEMENTARY in Jonesboro, GA is hiring a Paraprofessional - Special Education Pre-K to support licensed teachers in delivering safe, age-appropriate education to Pre-K students with disabilities. This full-time position reports to the Principal and district leadership.

You will assist in small-group instruction, prepare materials, and help with data collection and informal assessments to monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Must have an associate degree or higher in any subject from a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution
• Two years of college coursework (60 sem hours or 90 quarter hours) above remedial level with a grade of C or better
• Passed the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment and hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

• Support Pre-K students with disabilities in classrooms and community settings
• Lead instructional activities with small groups and individuals
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and data collection for progress monitoring
• Perform duties to meet the needs of students, including supervision and personal care tasks as trained
• Assist with routine record keeping, housekeeping, and school routines
• Complete other duties as assigned to support the classroom and school community

Education

Associate degree or higher in any subject
