Job summary

Early Learning Center in DeKalb County seeks a dedicated Pre-K Paraprofessional to support teachers in delivering high-quality early education. You will work with small groups, reinforce classroom routines, assist with assessments, and help prepare instructional materials to ensure readiness for lessons.

Candidates should have at least 60 college hours or 90 quarter hours with GPA 2.0, or a high school diploma with GACE Paraprofessional; must obtain PSC paraprofessional certificate.

Qualifications

• 60 sem hrs or 90 qtr hrs with GPA 2.0+ required.
• HS diploma/GED with passing GACE Paraprofessional required.
• Must obtain Professional Standards Commission paraprofessional certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group and individualized instruction per lesson plans.
• Assist teachers with classroom management to promote a positive learning environment.
• Assist with assessment of student performance and recordkeeping tasks.
• Develop and organize instructional materials for use with students; ensure materials are ready before lessons.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
