Job summary

DeKalb County School District's Kingsley ES is seeking a Pre-K Paraprofessional to support teachers and diverse learners in a collaborative classroom.

You will implement lesson plans, provide small group instruction, assist with behavior management and student assessments, and help prepare instructional materials. This on-site role requires commitment to high academic expectations and supportive student engagement.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have at least 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours with GPA 2.0 or higher or a HS diploma/GED with passing GACE Paraprofessional Assessment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and implement instructional plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group and/or individualized instruction based on lesson plans.
• Assist teachers with daily classroom management to promote a positive learning environment.
• Assist with assessment of student performance and related recordkeeping.
• Develop and organize instructional materials for use with students and ensure availability before lessons.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
