Job summary

DeKalb County School District is seeking a Pre-K Paraprofessional at Woodridge Elementary School. The role supports teachers in meeting educational, behavioral, and social emotional needs of students and helps promote high academic expectations.

Responsibilities include providing small group or individualized instruction, assisting with classroom management, aiding in assessment and recordkeeping, and preparing instructional materials. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Sixty (60) semester hours or ninety (90) quarter hours of college courses with GPA 2.0+ from an accredited college.
• High school diploma/GED and a passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group and/or individualized instruction to students.
• Assist teachers with daily classroom management activities.
• Assist with assessment of student performance and recordkeeping.
• Assist with development and organization of instructional materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
