Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.
• Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Early Childhood Education preferred (program dependent).
• Knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Ability to implement play-based and structured learning experiences.
• Strong classroom management and supervision skills for young children.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with South Carolina Early Learning Standards.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that promotes learning through play.
• Support development of early literacy, numeracy, motor skills, and social-emotional growth.
• Supervise students to ensure health, safety, and well-being per regulations and school policies.
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation of progress.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and activities.
• Collaborate with instructional assistants and staff to ensure effective classroom operations.
