Johnson County Community College seeks a Supervisor/Lead Teacher to oversee the Hiersteiner Child Development Center. You will mentor the teaching team, plan daily activities for Pre‑K 4‑5, and ensure classroom quality consistent with KDHE and NAEYC standards.

You will manage lesson plans, coordinate family engagement, and collaborate with leadership to align program goals with the college mission. Hybrid schedule available in Overland Park, KS.

Qualifikationen

• Must meet KDHE Lead Teacher qualifications.
• Must meet NAEYC Lead Teacher qualifications.
• 5+ years of teaching and supervisory experience in an early childhood setting.
• KDHE Program Director Certification for Up to 100 Children (pre-employment).
• Active Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR and background checks required.

Aufgaben

• Supervise and mentor classroom teaching team.
• Plan and participate in daily classroom activities for Pre-K 4-5.
• Develop and post weekly lesson plans per Creative Curriculum and KDHE/NAEYC requirements.
• Monitor child development, milestones, and behaviors; coordinate referrals/IEPs/IFSPs.
• Lead weekly team meetings and conduct staff evaluations.
