Community Academies of New Orleans (CANO) is seeking a PK English Instructor/Teacher to deliver bilingual instruction in a safe, engaging setting. The role emphasizes dual language pedagogy, collaboration with grade-level colleagues, and alignment with state standards.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood or Elementary Education, demonstrate fluent English, and bring experience or ability to work with diverse families and communities.
Community Academies of New Orleans (“CANO”) is a relatively new charter school management organization created with the ultimate goal of strengthening and growing strong leadership and strategic operational practices that will launch CANO into the future to becoming a Destination School in the metropolitan New Orleans area.

The primary role of the Dual Language PK English instructor is to deliver classroom instruction that helps PK students learn. To accomplish this, instructors must create a safe and rich learning environment, prepare effective lessons, assess student progress and offer feedback, manage classroom materials, productively navigate the curriculum, and collaborate and plan with other staff. All PK instructors report directly to the Division Head, Assistant Principal, and Principal. The instructor’s role is to also uphold the mission and values of Community Academies of New Orleans in all student and family interactions to ensure our commitment is promoting academic excellence and success.
CANO Schools offer competitive salaries commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefits package.
