Job DescriptionPre-K Instructional Assistants support the ABC preschool program by delivering high-quality early childhood education. Under the supervision of certified teachers, the assistant facilitates instructional activities, manages classroom behavior, and provides individualized or small-group support to students, fostering a nurturing and effective learning environment.
The role is performed in a standard classroom setting, which may include special education environments. Duties may involve exposure to various student behaviors and require flexibility to adapt to different instructional needs.
Key Responsibilities
Education: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development,
or a certified Child Development Associate (CDA).
Licenses: Certified Teaching Assistant (CTA) preferred.
Experience: Prior experience working with young children in educational settings preferred.
Compensation
Instructional assistant salaries will be based on the individual experience and within the SY 2025-26 Salary Schedulerange.
