Position: Support Staff / Instructional Assistant

Position Overview

Content instructional assistants will support students based on their academic needs, primarily assisting with tier 2 interventions under the supervision of the MTSS coach. Responsibilities include providing literacy and other intervention instruction in small groups and supporting classroom activities to engage students. Professional development will focus on implementing specific reading, math, and other instructional strategies.

Responsibilities

1. Provide instructional assistance as needed.
2. Follow the IEPs developed by the teacher of record.
3. Perform duties as directed by supervising teachers and administration.

Qualifications

1. Prior experience preferred.
2. College degree or CDA preferred; minimum high school diploma required.
3. Experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred.
4. Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively.

FLSA Classification: Hourly Non-Exempt

Compensation: Based on Classified Pay Model

Work Calendar: 180 Days

Standard Hours: 6.75 Hours/Day
