Job summary

Union Elementary is seeking a dynamic team player for the Pre-Kindergarten Education Technician role to work alongside the Pre-K classroom teacher. You will assist in creating a play-based and rigorous program, build rapport with students and families, and help develop foundational skills for elementary education.

Qualifications

• Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) required.
• Educational Technician II credential required.
• Experience in similar roles preferred.
• Strong cooperation, flexibility, initiative, and industriousness expected.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to diverse individuals.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce learning previously introduced by the teacher or content specialists.
• Provide non-instructional support and classroom management.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and activities.
• Deliver direct instructional support in regular and special education settings.
• Maintain confidentiality of students and families and uphold professional boundaries.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and staff to support student needs.
• Support supervision duties during meals, bus loading, and transitions.
• Participate in in-service training and school activities as assigned.
