Job summary

Earlylearningconnections is seeking a Head Start Pre-K Counts Assistant Teacher to support the Head Teacher and Program Manager in delivering a quality early childhood program in accordance with PA Pre-K Counts requirements and state standards.

You will assist in planning, setting up the learning environment, administering screenings, maintaining documentation, participating in staff meetings, and collaborating with families to support each child’s developmental needs.

Qualifications

• Must have CDA certification or equivalent.
• Experience caring for and educating young children is required.
• Ability to manage classroom activities and support the lead teacher.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing PA Pre-K Counts curriculum.
• Support learning environment setup and material preparation.
• Administer screening and education assessments as directed by the Head Teacher.
• Maintain safety and supervision of children in the classroom.
• Document observations and progress using required systems.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
