To beQUALIFIEDfor this position, we require abachelor’s degree in early childhood education (ECE) OR bachelor’s degree in unrelated field plus a CDA OR Montessori Teaching credential.

Required Shift:Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30 pm

Employment type:Full-time,180daysper year

Compensation:$13per hour, basedon education and experience

MainJob Responsibilities

  • Must meet the requirements of the state licensing agency and be physically and mentally fit to care for children at Provider.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of each child bymaintaininga developmentallyappropriate classroomenvironment and providingappropriate supervisionof children.
  • Plan, supervise, and implement the program for the class in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the Provider.
  • Plan and implement weekly lesson plans base on the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS), Work Sampling Online System (WSO) assessment data andGeorgia Pre-K approvedCurriculum.
  • Communicate clearly and appropriately with children, parents, staff, and others.
  • Build partnerships with parents of children by treating them with respect, welcoming them into the classroom, daily communication, parent-teacher conferences, andprovidingfrequent and varied parent involvement opportunities.
  • Maintain child portfolio andparticipatein ongoing observation-based assessments to assess the developmental levels of the children. Using BFTS Work sampling online – assessment for the children.
  • Participate in staff meetings, recommend training programs, classes, and other aspects of professional growth, and complete the training hours as required by Provider and by the state, including after hour sessions.
  • Must be able tolift upto 30 pounds and be able to see, hear and respond to children’s needs including reaching high, stooping to the child’s level, sitting on thefloorand getting up being able to reach a child 20-30 feet away within 15 seconds without danger to staff person’s health. Must be able to stand on your feet forlong periodsof time at least 90% of the day.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
