Responsibilities

• Plans, in accordance with established procedures, a program of study and lessons aligned with the approved course of study and meets students' needs.
• Implements district's philosophy and instructional goals.
• Ensures pupil progress toward stated objectives.
• Uses instructional methods and materials appropriate to meeting objectives and fosters positive attitudes toward learning.
• Develops procedures for classroom operation and routine school procedures.
• Maintains appropriate student behavior and ensures health, safety, and well-being.
• Assesses pupils per district policy, interprets results, and uses data for planning instruction and reporting progress.
• Assists in curriculum development and selection of books and instructional materials.
• Works toward professional growth and meets professional educator standards.
• Maintains cordial professional relationships with staff, students, parents, and community.
• Confers with students and parents to foster constructive relationships.
• Maintains student records and submits required reports on time.
• Contributes to after-school activities and school functions.
• Cares for school property and uses materials economically.
• Adheres to school philosophy and policies and supports the superintendent’s objectives.
• Performs other duties as assigned by administration.
