Qualifications

• High School Diploma or USA equivalency is required.
• Associate Degree or 48 college credits or passing an academic assessment is acceptable.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate is required.
• Six months of related experience preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting intensified learning experiences for students in the assigned area.
• Relieve the teacher of non-instructional duties and manage student arrival/departure.
• Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning activities.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom and assist with administrative records.
• Assist with copying, organizing, and filing materials for distribution to students.
• Support teacher in supervising students inside and outside the classroom.
• Participate in staff development and faculty meetings as assigned.
• Attend to special events and assist with classroom decorations.
