Adams Elementary School in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a part-time Pre-K School Assistant to support preschoolers with care, supervision and learning activities. The role runs during the 6.5-hour shifts typically from 7:45am to 3:30pm, aligned with the school day.

A drug screen is required for Pre-K positions. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, strong office and communication skills, and knowledge of child guidance.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Strong office, computer, and oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of child guidance principles and basic instructional methods.
• Prefer candidate to be highly-qualified with the listed options (two years of college, degree, Para-Pro assessment, CDA or AA).
• NAEYC requirements include a CDA credential or equivalent as defined by NAEYC.

Responsabilités

• Assist in providing care, supervision and learning activities for preschool-age children.
• Help plan and implement a variety of activities to meet the needs and interests of children.
• Support classroom operations and scheduling during school year with shifts roughly 7:45am–3:30pm.
• Complete required pre-K procedures, including a drug screen.
