Job summary

St. Martha Catholic School in Houston seeks a responsible, energetic PK Classroom Aide to support lead teachers in a nurturing Catholic environment.

The role involves assisting with lesson plans and managing a class of 3–5 year olds, helping with toileting and behavior, and providing one-on-one support where needed. The aide will work 40 hours per week on a full-time hourly contract, with a schedule that typically runs 7:30 AM–3:30 PM, Aug–May, including some training days.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate’s degree required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior.
• Experience with early childhood education a plus.
• Familiarity with educational technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers with curriculum planning and lesson delivery.
• Support 3–5 year olds during activities and keep a safe, caring environment.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with assessments.
• Supervise students during meals, restroom breaks, and outdoor time.
• Maintain records and communicate with families as needed.
